רוּחַ אַפֶּיךָ (ruach appekha) = 'breath/wind of Your nostrils' — an intensely physical image: the divine hurricane-blast, YHWH's fury made atmospheric. נֵד (ned) = a heap or wall (cf. Josh. 3:13, of the Jordan standing up); FOG renders 'wall,' FOG Message 'dam' for the hydraulic image. קָפְאוּ (qafe'u) = to congeal/freeze/thicken — the same verb used of curdled cream in Job 10:10; here, supernaturally solid water.
