שָׁלִשָׁיו (shalishav) = 'his thirds/officers' — the elite third man in an ancient chariot crew, the senior tactical officer riding alongside driver and bowman. יַם-סוּף (Yam Suph) literally = 'Sea of Reeds' (suph = reeds/papyrus), most likely a marshy delta waterway. The traditional 'Red Sea' (from LXX ἐρυθρὰ θάλασσα) is reflected in FOG Message as the conventional English name; FOG preserves the more precise Hebrew geography.
