This verse deliberately echoes Job 1:21 — "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I shall return there." The verbal resonance is almost certainly intentional: the one who hoards wealth departs no differently from the one stripped of everything in a moment. עָרוֹם (arom, "naked") strips away every accumulated pretension. The F.O.G renders the verse closely; the F.O.G Message amplifies the rhythm of repetition to make the intertextual echo audible as a kind of solemn toll.
