Translations
The officers shall continue addressing the troops: 'Is there a man here who is afraid, whose heart is already melting? Let him go home—before his fear becomes contagious and the courage of his brothers dissolves along with his own.'
And the officers shall speak further to the people and say: 'Who is the man who is fearful and tender of heart? Let him go and return to his house, lest he cause his brothers' hearts to melt as his own melts.'
And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's heart faint as well as his heart.
Then the officers shall speak further to the army, saying, “Is any man afraid or fainthearted? Let him return home, so that the hearts of his brothers will not melt like his own.”
