Righteousness belongs to You, Lord, but shame covers our faces — as it does this very day — for the people of Judah, the citizens of Jerusalem, and all Israel, near and far, in every land where You scattered them, because of the treachery they committed against You.
To You, Adonai, belongs righteousness; to us belongs shame-of-face — as it is to this very day — to the men of Yehudah, to the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, and to all Yisra'el, near and far, in all the lands where You have driven them, on account of the unfaithfulness with which they were unfaithful toward You.
O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
To You, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but this day we are covered with shame—the men of Judah, the people of Jerusalem, and all Israel near and far, in all the countries to which You have driven us because of our unfaithfulness to You.
