The most theologically charged verse in the book. כְּבַר אֱנָשׁ (k'var enash) — "like a son of man/human being" — the כְּ prefix ("like/as") marks a heavenly figure of human form, in deliberate contrast to the sub-human beasts. F.O.G preserves bar enash to keep the Aramaic weight alive; F.O.G Message uses "Son of Man," the title Yeshua applied to Himself more than any other (e.g., Matt 26:64, citing this passage explicitly). Crucially, this figure comes TO the Ancient of Days — moving upward, not descending — making this a scene of ascension and enthronement, not a second coming. The clouds (עֲנָנֵי, anane) are consistently a marker of theophany in Scripture (Exod 13:21; Ps 104:3; Isa 19:1), marking this figure as one clothed in divine glory, no mere mortal.
