The Aramaic bar elahin is grammatically plural—literally "son of gods"—the instinctive language of a polytheist king reaching for the highest divine category in his frame of reference. The F.O.G preserves the king's own polytheistic idiom faithfully. The F.O.G Message leans into the theological resonance that later revelation renders explicit: Jewish readers would hear the Angel of YHWH (cf. Exodus 3, Joshua 5:13–15), and readers of the Apostolic Writings recognise a pointer to the pre-incarnate Son who will one day fully enter human existence. Both readings are linguistically defensible because the Aramaic text deliberately holds the ambiguity open.
