σῶμα (sōma) creates a rich double meaning when set against σκιά (shadow). As the antonym of "shadow," it means the solid body that casts a shadow—the substance, the reality. But sōma is also Paul's primary word for the "body of Christ." FOG renders "substance" to capture the shadow/reality contrast; FOG Message makes the shadow-casting body image explicit, allowing both readings to resonate.
