"Sha'afim" means to pant or gasp after with predatory desire — stronger than "trample." The image is of powerful men so greedy they covet even the dust on a beggar's head. F.O.G preserves this visceral animality; F.O.G Message renders the resultant action ("trample into the dirt") for immediate impact. "Man and his father" sharing "the na'arah" (young woman) likely describes the sexual exploitation of a female debt-slave — compounding economic abuse with violation, and doubly profaning YHWH's covenant name (cf. Lev. 18–19).
