Then Paul, seeing that part of the council were Sadducees and part Pharisees, cried out, "Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees! I am on trial because of the hope of the resurrection of the dead!"
Perceiving that one part were Tz'dukim and the other P'rushim, Sha'ul cried out in the Sanhedrin, "Men and brothers, I am a Parush — a son of P'rushim! It is concerning the hope of the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial!"
But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.
Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees, called out in the Sanhedrin, “Brothers, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee. It is because of my hope in the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial.”
