διὰ τοῦ Πνεύματος (dia tou Pneumatos) — "through the Spirit" — the Spirit-prompted warnings here do not contradict Paul's Spirit-compelled resolve (cf. 20:22); they exist in creative tension. The imperfect tense of ἔλεγον ("they kept urging") signals ongoing, repeated pleading rather than a single warning. Both versions reflect this, though the F.O.G. Message's "set foot in Jerusalem" heightens the urgency — as though even arriving is the danger.
