"Dikaiōthēnai" — to be justified/acquitted/declared righteous. This is forensic language: a judge's verdict declaring the accused "not guilty." It is the same verb at the heart of Sha'ul's letters to the Romans and Galatians. The F.O.G renders "justified" to preserve the legal register; the F.O.G Message adds "fully acquitted" to make the liberation dimension audible alongside the forensic one. The F.O.G also uses "trusts" for "pisteuōn" to preserve the relational and covenant-fidelity dimension of pistis; the F.O.G Message uses "believes."
