καλάμου (kalamou) is literally a "reed" — the split-reed stylus used to write on papyrus in the ancient world. F.O.G preserves this tactile, material image; F.O.G Message uses "pen" for modern clarity. This closing formula is nearly word-for-word identical to 2 John 12, functioning as a literary signature of the Johannine letter tradition and suggesting the same hand behind both letters.
