ἐπιφάνεια (epiphaneia) — "appearing" — was a loaded Hellenistic term for the royal, public arrival of a divine ruler or emperor, giving the charge a royal-eschatological urgency that softer words like "coming" entirely flatten. The Greek μέλλοντος (mellontos) carries genuine imminence — "who is about to judge" — that both versions handle differently: F.O.G preserves the immediacy to honour the original's urgency; F.O.G Message uses "will judge" for English fluency. The charge is made "by" His appearing and kingdom — either invoking them as the solemn ground of the command, or as its very content, and both readings are defensible.
