A brilliant wordplay that English cannot fully replicate: μηδὲν ἐργαζομένους ἀλλὰ περιεργαζομένους — "working nothing but over-working." The prefix περι- (around, beyond, excessively) transforms ἐργαζομένους ("working") into "working-around" or "overdoing in other people's business." The contrast is almost comic: those doing none of their own work are exhausting themselves in everyone else's. F.O.G uses "busybodies" (the conventional English equivalent); F.O.G Message expands to "busying themselves in everyone else's affairs" to convey the intrusive overreach the wordplay implies.
