Then Rizpah daughter of Aiah took sackcloth and spread it over a rock beside the bodies. From the first day of harvest until the autumn rains fell from heaven, she kept vigil — driving off the birds of the sky by day and the prowling beasts by night.
Then Ritzpah daughter of Ayah took sackcloth and spread it out on a rock for herself, from the beginning of harvest until the rains poured down from the skies upon them; and she would not let the birds of the skies settle on them by day, nor the wild beasts of the field approach by night.
And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
