Footnotes
The Hebrew list repeats קָלִי (*qali*, 'roasted/parched grain') at both the beginning and end of the dry goods catalogue, which most commentators attribute to scribal dittography; the MT is retained here. The word מִשְׁכָּב (*mishkav*, sleeping mats) heads the list, perhaps indicating that exhausted refugees needed rest as urgently as food. The sheer variety of provision — dry staples, legumes, and the rich foods of v. 29 — underscores the generosity and practical attentiveness of these three men. FOG preserves the listed texture of the Hebrew; FOG Message renders the same goods in natural English rhythm.
