Absalom and all the men of Israel declared, "Hushai the Arkite's advice is better than Ahithophel's." For Yahweh had purposed to thwart Ahithophel's sound advice, so that He might bring ruin upon Absalom.
Avshalom and all the men of Yisra'el said, "The counsel of Chushai the Arki is better than the counsel of Achitophel." For YHWH had ordained to frustrate Achitophel's sound counsel, so that YHWH might bring disaster upon Avshalom.
And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.
Then Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The advice of Hushai the Archite is better than that of Ahithophel.” For the LORD had purposed to thwart the good counsel of Ahithophel in order to bring disaster on Absalom.
