The old proverbs have told their story exactly: "A dog goes back to its own vomit," and: "A washed sow heads straight back to roll in the mud."
What the true proverb says has happened to them: "A dog returns to its own vomit," and: "A sow that has been washed goes back to wallow in the mud."
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud.”
