The phrase *lammoed hazeh* (לַמּוֹעֵד הַזֶּה) — 'at this appointed time' — uses *moed*, the very word for Israel's sacred appointed feasts (Lev. 23:2). The birth is not accidental but scheduled in the divine calendar—a *moed*, a sacred appointment. Her protest uses *tekhazev* (תְּכַזֵּב), 'lie/deceive'—raw, honest grief from a woman long acquainted with barrenness.
