Paul quotes Exodus 16:18 (LXX), the manna narrative. In the original miracle, each household found exactly enough regardless of how much they had gathered—divine provision created natural equity. Paul leverages this as an economic theology: generosity circulating through the Body mirrors the miracle of the wilderness. The manna story also carries Eucharistic resonance—what is given freely by one feeds another, and none who receive from YHWH are left in want.
