κατὰ σάρκα (kata sarka, "according to the flesh") does not carry the moral weight of "sinful flesh" here but denotes an evaluative frame limited to earthly, ethnic, or social categories—assessing by lineage, status, or physical presence. The radical claim is that in Messiah all such categories are obsolete—including any evaluation of Messiah Himself through the lens of His pre-resurrection earthly identity.
