εὐδοκῶ (eudokō) is stronger than "contentment" — it denotes active pleasure and settled delight, the same root used in the Father's declaration at Yeshua's baptism ("in Whom I am well-pleased," Matt 3:17). Sha'ul is not merely coping; he has found genuine joy in the very conditions his opponents regard as proof of failure. στενοχωρίαις (stenochōriais) literally means "narrow spaces" or "constrictions" — a visceral spatial metaphor for being hemmed in with no way out; the F.O.G renders it "tight corners" to preserve this physical, claustrophobic sense; the F.O.G Message uses "distresses."
