Footnotes
The Chronicler quietly reverses the account in 1 Kings 9:10–13, where Solomon gives twenty cities to Huram, who is displeased with them. Here, Huram gives them to Solomon, who repopulates them—a positive reframing consistent with the Chronicler's programme of presenting Solomon's reign as unambiguously glorious. FOG renders *benei Yisra'el* ('children of Yisra'el') to preserve the covenantal family resonance; FOG Message uses the more natural 'Israelites.'
