Then the men who had been designated by name stepped forward and took responsibility for the captives. With the plunder they clothed everyone who was naked, provided sandals, food, drink, and anointing oil, and carried all who were too weak to walk on donkeys. They brought them all the way to Jericho, the city of palms, to their own people—and then returned to Samaria.
