King Uzziah remained diseased until the day of his death, dwelling in a house of isolation — cut off from the house of Yahweh. His son Jotham was placed over the royal household, governing the people of the land.
King Uzziyahu remained afflicted with tzara'at to the day of his death. As one who was afflicted, he dwelt in a house of isolation, cut off from the House of YHWH. Yotam his son was over the royal household, governing the people of the land.
And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD: and Jotham his son was over the king's house, judging the people of the land.
So King Uzziah was a leper until the day of his death. He lived in isolation, leprous and cut off from the house of the LORD, while his son Jotham had charge of the royal palace and governed the people of the land.
