The phrase *śeba' yamim* ('full/satisfied of days') is the language of patriarchal blessing — used of Abraham (Gen. 25:8), Isaac (Gen. 35:29), and Job (Job 42:17) — marking a life of divine completion and covenant fulfilment. At 130, Jehoiada surpasses even Moses who died at 120 (Deut. 34:7), reaching a genuinely patriarchal lifespan. The Chronicler deliberately elevates a priest to the stature of the founding fathers; the next verse will honour him with a burial that transcends his office.
