But Jehosheba, the king's own daughter, acted in the moment that changed everything. She snatched Joash son of Ahaziah from among the princes being slain and hid him — along with his nurse — in a bedroom. Jehosheba was the daughter of King Jehoram, the wife of the priest Jehoiada, and the sister of Ahaziah. She hid the child from Athaliah's reach, and so his life was saved.
But Yehosheva, the king's daughter, took Yo'ash son of Achazyahu and stole him away from among the king's sons who were being slaughtered. She hid him — along with his nurse — in the sleeping chamber. So Yehosheva, daughter of King Yehoram and wife of Yehoyada the priest (for she was Achazyahu's sister), hid him from Atalyah, and he was not put to death.
But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest,(for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.
But Jehoshabeath daughter of King Jehoram took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the sons of the king who were being murdered, and she put him and his nurse in a bedroom. Because Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram and the wife of Jehoiada the priest, was Ahaziah’s sister, she hid Joash from Athaliah so that she could not kill him.
