The public summons *shim'u ammim kulam* ('hear, all peoples') is a striking prophetic formula, echoing Micah 1:2. Both prophets share the same root name — *Mikhayahu/Mikha*, 'Who is like YHWH?' The call turns Ahab's silencing of the prophet into an act of prophetic theatre: the very attempt to imprison the word of YHWH becomes the moment it is proclaimed most publicly. Imprisonment does not muzzle true prophecy; it amplifies it.
