They urgently sent word and gathered all the rulers of the Philistines. 'Send the Ark of the God of Israel away!' they cried. 'Let it go back where it belongs, before it kills us all!' For a death-terror had gripped the entire city, and the hand of God lay crushing upon it.
They urgently sent word and gathered all the sarne of the Pelishtim, crying, 'Send away the Aron of the Elohim of Yisra'el! Let it return to its own place, so it does not kill us and our people!' For a death-panic had seized the whole city—the hand of Elohim was very heavy there.
