David answered the priest, 'Certainly women have been kept from us, as always when I set out on a campaign — my men's bodies are kept holy even on an ordinary march; how much more will they be consecrated today!'
Dawid answered the kohen, 'Indeed, women have been kept from us as always when I set out — the vessels of the lads are holy even on an ordinary journey; how much more so today will their vessels be consecrated.'
And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.
David answered, “Women have indeed been kept from us, as is usual when I set out. And the bodies of the young men are holy even on common missions. How much more so today!”
