Even before the fat was burned on the altar, the priest's assistant would come to the man making the offering and say: "Give the priest meat for roasting — he won't take cooked meat, only raw."
Moreover, before the fat had even been burned, the priest's servant would come to the man who was sacrificing and say: "Give the priest meat to roast — he will not accept boiled meat from you, only raw."
Also before they burnt the fat, the priest's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw.
