Two key terms close the chapter. Yaskil (יַשְׂכִּיל) has been a drumbeat refrain throughout (vv. 5, 14, 15, 30)—meaning to act with wisdom, to succeed, to prosper through understanding. It is not luck but wisdom-in-action, the outworking of YHWH's presence made visible in results. Yaqar (יָקַר)—'precious,' 'esteemed,' 'of great worth'—is the same root used of precious gems and rare things; David's name has become something costly in the public imagination. The chapter opens with a soul-bond forged in private; it closes with a name reverberating across the land.
