It is Jean Paul's lifelong work, unfolding in public — and you're invited in.

He works from a personal encounter with Jesus first, then draws on the scholarship of respected Jewish and Christian scholars — because the church was Jewish before it was anything else, and those roots change everything about how you read Scripture.

*Ish ha-beinayim* (lit. "man of the between-space") is a technical term for a single-combat champion who fights in the gap between two armies, with both sides bound by the outcome. This is not mere bravado but a formal ancient Near Eastern military institution — the gap itself is theologically charged, awaiting the one man willing to fill it. FOG renders "duelling champion" to preserve this legal-military sense; FOG Message uses "champion" with the dramatic staging of him stepping out. On height: six cubits and a span is approximately 9 ft 9 in, though the LXX, 4QSam-a, and Josephus read "four cubits and a span" (approx. 6 ft 9 in) — the shorter reading is arguably original and more historically credible for a large Iron Age warrior.
