The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, 'There is still one man through whom we can inquire of Yahweh — Micaiah son of Imlah — but I despise him. He never prophesies anything good about me, only disaster.' Jehoshaphat replied, 'The king should not say such things.'
The king of Yisra'el said to Y'hoshafat, 'There is yet one man through whom we may inquire of YHWH — Micha-yahu son of Yimlah — but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, only evil.' Y'hoshafat said, 'Let the king not say that.'
And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
The king of Israel answered, “There is still one man through whom we can inquire of the LORD, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good for me, but only bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah.” “The king should not say that!” Jehoshaphat replied.
