King Rehoboam sent out Adoram, the official in charge of forced labor — but all Israel stoned him to death. King Rehoboam barely made it to his chariot and fled for his life to Jerusalem.
Then King Rechav'am sent Adoram, who was over the forced labour, but all Yisra'el stoned him to death. King Rechav'am desperately mounted his chariot and fled to Yerushalayim.
Then king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the tribute; and all Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. Therefore king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.
