It is Jean Paul's lifelong work, unfolding in public — and you're invited in.

Jean Paul Joseph is the lead editor of the F.O.G Bible Project. He works from a personal encounter with Jesus first, then draws on the scholarship of respected Jewish and Christian scholars — because the church was Jewish before it was anything else, and those roots change everything about how you read Scripture.

Apostereō ('to deprive/defraud') is a commercial and legal term for withholding what is rightfully owed — the same word used in 6:8 for defrauding fellow believers. Akrasia ('lack of self-mastery'), an Aristotelian term for inability to govern one's appetites, frames sexual abstinence within marriage as a genuine pastoral and moral risk, not a spiritual virtue in itself.
