They went up to Baal-Perazim, and David struck them down there. David declared, "God has broken through my enemies by my own hand, like floodwaters bursting through a dam!" And so that place was named Baal-Perazim — the Lord of the Breakthrough.
They went up to Ba'al-Peratzim, and Dawid struck them down there. Dawid said, "Elohim has burst through my enemies by my hand, like a bursting of waters." Therefore that place was called Ba'al-Peratzim.
So they came up to Baalperazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baalperazim.
So David and his men went up to Baal-perazim, where he defeated the Philistines and said, “Like a bursting flood, God has burst out against my enemies by my hand.” So they called that place Baal-perazim.
