Tzadok is here introduced as נַעַר (*na'ar*) — "a young man"—yet already leading twenty-two commanders. This is the Tzadok who would later be appointed high priest by Solomon (1 Kings 2:35), founding the Zadokite priestly line that dominated the Second Temple period and gave rise to the Sadducees (צְדוּקִים, *Tzedukim*, "sons of Tzadok"). The same נַעַר language marks young David (1 Samuel 17:42) and Josiah who sought God while still a youth (2 Chronicles 34:3)—the Chronicler recognizes greatness early. The pairing of youth and valor signals a rising covenant servant. FOG preserves *Tzadok* to keep the Sadducee etymological connection audible; FOG Message uses the familiar English "Zadok."
