(9) Mankind was scorched with great heat and they slandered the name of יהוה YAHWEH who has the authority upon these plagues and they didn't turn back to give Him glory.

[9] People were severely burned by this blazing heat, yet instead of turning to יהוה in repentance, they cursed His Name—the very One who had authority over these calamities. Their hearts remained hardened, refusing to give Him the honor He deserves.
