(2) They tied and lead Him away, delivered Him to Pilate the governor.

[2] They bound Jesus like a common criminal, His hands that had healed now restricted by rough rope. They marched Him through the awakening streets to hand Him over to Pilate, the Roman governor whose authority they secretly despised but now desperately needed.
