As John’s disciples were leaving, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swaying in the wind?

[7] As John's disciples headed back to their imprisoned teacher, Jesus turned to address the gathering crowd about John: "Think back to when you all streamed out into the wilderness to see John. What were you expecting? Some delicate reed swaying with every shift of popular opinion?
