After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him,

[27] Later, Jesus saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at his tax collection booth. Tax collectors were despised as traitors who collaborated with Rome. Jesus simply said to him, "Follow Me."
