[3] Seeing Jesus in His physical weakness, the devil struck with cunning precision: "If You truly are God's Son, why suffer needlessly? Just speak the word and transform this lifeless stone into fresh bread. Surely the Son of God need not endure such deprivation."

Young's Literal Translation

and the Devil said to him, ‘If Son thou art of God, speak to this stone that it may become bread.’
