[6] Jesus saw him lying there and, knowing the weight of those countless years of suffering, felt deep compassion. "Do you truly want to be healed?" He asked, seeing beyond the man's physical condition to his heart.

him Jesus having seen lying, and having known that he is already a long time, he saith to him, ‘Dost thou wish to become whole?’
