So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one You love is sick.”

(3) So the sisters sent for Him, saying, "Adonai! Look, him You love is sick!"

[3] The sisters sent an urgent message to Jesus: "Lord, Your dear friend whom You love is very sick." Their words carried both trust in His power and hope in His compassion.

therefore sent the sisters unto him, saying, ‘Sir, lo, he whom thou dost love is ailing;’
