For we also received the good news just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it.

For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.

For{G2532}{G1063} unto us was{G2070}{(G5748)} the gospel preached{G2097}{(G5772)}, as well as{G2509} unto them{G2548}: but{G235} the word{G3056} preached{G189} did{G5623} not{G3756} profit{G5623}{(G5656)} them{G1565}, not{G3361} being mixed{G4786}{(G5772)} with faith{G4102} in them that heard{G191}{(G5660)} it.

(2) For we have had good news proclaimed to us, just as them also. Yet The Word of hearing didn't benefit them because they weren't united in believing faith to those hearing.

[2] For we, like those who came before us, have received the radiant good news of God's rest. But merely hearing the message wasn't enough for them – it needed to be embraced with deep, transforming faith. Without that vital trust, the words remained powerless in their lives.
