Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Jesus was hidden, and went out of the temple, having gone through their midst, and so passed by.

[59] At this, they picked up stones to kill Him for what they considered blasphemy, but Jesus slipped away, hiding Himself as He left the Temple grounds. His time had not yet come.

they took up, therefore, stones that they may cast at him, but Jesus hid himself, and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
