When they heard him speak to them in Hebrew, they became even more silent. Then Paul declared,

(2) and when they heard him addressing them in the Hebrew-Aramaic dialect they became even more silenced. He says,
The F.O.G
[2] When they heard him speaking their heart language, a profound silence fell over the crowd, their curiosity momentarily overcoming their anger.

and they having heard that in the Hebrew dialect he was speaking to them, gave the more silence, and he saith,—
