After the uproar had ceased, Paul sent for the disciples, took leave of them, and departed to go into Macedonia.

[1] After the tumult in Ephesus subsided, Paul gathered the disciples for a final time of encouragement. With heartfelt embraces, he bid them farewell and departed for Macedonia, his heart burning with passion to strengthen the churches there.

Young's Literal Translation

And after the ceasing of the tumult, Paul having called near the disciples, and having embraced them, went forth to go on to Macedonia;
